"I'm just having a really hard time here. And this thing, this Goldbug, it's different than anything else that my family has ever done, and it is more important now than ever that the world sees that we... That we're more than just Fortunato. We're not just pill-pushers. We can be about health and about beauty. And the Usher name is more than just Roderick and Madeline." ― Tamerlane Usher, "Goldbug"
Tamerlane Usher is the eldest legitimate daughter of Roderick Usher and his first wife Annabel Lee.
She and her husband William run a fitness company Goldbug.
Trivia[]
- Alongside the rest of the Usher family, Tamerlane's name comes from one of the poems written by Edgar Allen Poe, with her's coming directly from "Tamerlane." The poem is a fictionalized account of the life of a 14th Century Turco-Mongol warlord Timur, who was also known as Tamerlane.
- This name may have been chosen for Tamerlane's character due to the fact that the conqueror Tamerlane ignored the young love he had for a peasant in order to achieve power, which reflects how Tamerlane ignored her husband to focus more on her Goldbug product. Both also grow to regret their decisions until their deathbeds.
