Leigh Crain is the wife of Steven Crain. At the beginning of the series, their relationship is strained and the two are separated. It later is revealed that Leigh is upset over failed attempts to conceive a child. Unbeknownst to her, Steve had a vasectomy right out of college because he felt that there was something wrong with him and he didn't want to pass on his "rotten genes".
In the season finale, Steve admits to getting a vasectomy. Though it isn't seen, it can be assumed by the final scene that the two reconcile and that Steve has his vasectomy reversed, as Steve and Leigh both appear at Luke's 2-years-sober party, and Leigh appears to be heavily pregnant.
